Sandra’s Story

My life is blessed with roles of mother, grandmother, director of women’s ministries, Bible teacher, and until my husband’s retirement the honored role of pastor’s wife. Beyond these, I find joy in weaving faith into words as a published author.

My writing journey began at the Montrose Christian Writers Conference, where the spark was lit. Since then, I've had the privilege of publishing numerous articles, short stories, and devotionals. One of my humblest moments was when The Death Collector, the second book in my Sackets Harbor Mysteries series, won the Editors’ Choice Award. Another story I felt needed to be told, The Girl in Her, a women’s contemporary novel, received the Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writers Conference Foundation Award.

I grew up on a dairy farm in western New York, where I learned early how to milk cows, drive a tractor, and bale hay. Country life instilled in me a deep appreciation for the wonders of nature. I love a summer stroll through clover fields, an autumn walk in the woods, and a quiet spring afternoon by the creek. These experiences often find their way into my writing, breathing life into the settings and scenes where my fictional characters solve their mysteries.

I invite you to stay up to date with reflections on my blog “Wisdom & Worship” and to check “Our Books” for my October 2024 release of The Girl in Her.
